| You can
play BIG BUCKS BASEBALL
three ways. One is fast
baseball, an abbreviated
version for younger players. The
second, regular baseball,
is pitch by pitch baseball with
all of the challenges, surprises
and thrills of a real baseball
game. Each spin of the wheel
simulates the pitcher throwing
the ball. The batter can take the
pitch by letting the wheel come
to a stop or attempt a hit by
tossing the miniature baseball
into the spinning strategy wheel.
Each outcome is immediate and not
the result of shuffling cards or
charts. And third, BIG BUCKS
BASEBALL is the same as regular
baseball with the added
thrill of a monopoly-like system
of using concessions, money, and
the threat of bankruptcy. BIG BUCKS
BASEBALL'S play action is
immediate just like actual
baseball and occurs on a
pitch-by-pitch basis. It can be
played by everyone, male and
female, old and young, who enjoy
the thrills of a baseball game
where anything can happen and
frequently does. BIG BUCKS
BASEBALL has built-in
features which enable it to be
played in a separate mode with
many of the features similar to
MONOPOLY, including the use of
play currency which can be used
to upgrade players and increase
the chances of winning. BIG
BUCKS BASEBALL is like
playing baseball and MONOPOLY
combined.
The heart
of BIG BUCKS BASEBALL is
the patented Strategy Wheel which
controls the play. To begin the
game, the wheel is spun by the
pitcher (defensive team). The
batter (offensive team) has the
option of taking the pitch to see
if the pitcher has thrown a
strike or a ball, or to attempt
to hit. The batter
"hits" by tossing a
miniature game ball into the
center of the week before it
comes to rest. If the batter
elects to take the pitch, the
wheel is allowed to come to rest.
The tip of home plate on the game
board is the indicator. If the
wheel stops opposite a segment
with a black square, it is a
strike. The absence of a black
square is a ball. The color code
of the pitcher, either Red, White
or Blue, determines which ring is
to be read in determining a ball
or a strike.
Red is the
highest performance level with
White the next highest and Blue
the lowest. These levels are
assumed in hitting, pitching and
field performance and are
reflected in the challenging dice
with the same advantages. The Red
pitcher can throw sixteen strikes
out of twenty-eight segments on
the Strategy Wheel. The White
pitcher can throw twelve and the
Blue pitcher eight. The Red
batter has nine hits interspersed
around the Strategy Wheel while
the White pitcher has seven and
the Blue batter has five.
Dividing nine, seven, and five by
twenty-eight (segments) gives the
red batter a .320 batting
average, the White batter a .250,
and the Blue a .180 average.
